Burgling Of House: Jonathan Releases Statement


Former President Goodluck Jonathan has released a statement thanking Nigerians for showing concern to him shortly after it was reported that one of his Abuja homes have been burgled. The statement was released via  his spokesman, Ikechukwu Eze. It reads thus;

Wike Forging More Documents To Persecute Me - Amaechi

The Minister of Transportation and immediate past governor of Rivers State, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, has accused Governor Nyesom Wike, of forging more documents to persecute him.

Amaechi claimed that Wike wanted to use the distorted and forged documents to persecute and prosecute him in court, adding that the governor had bragged that he would secure judgement against him in any court because he had the judiciary at the state and national levels in his (Wike) pocket.

Father who raped his daughter for 20 years caught by secret recording


A father has been exposed and jailed for raping his daughter regularly for 20 years after she released a recording of him boasting about his actions. He was charged with five counts of rape which he initially denied but he was eventually convicted and sentenced to 12 years in prison. 

Raymond Prescott, 54, first attacked Layla Bell, 31, when she was just seven years old. Layla of Clifton, Nottingham, said her father would go from being her best friend this minute to being a sexual predator the next.

American Climber Dies On Everest, Indian Missing


An American climber on Mount Everest died today, officials said, the third death on the world's highest mountain in the past month and raising safety concerns for climbers.

Roland Yearwood, 50, from Alabama, perished at an altitude of about 8,400 meters (27,500 feet) in an area called "death zone" which is known for thin air, Murari Sharma of the Everest Parivas trekking company that sponsored his climb said.

RRS rescues boys fleeing Abuja, reunites them with their parents


The operatives of Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command on Monday last week rescued two teenagers fleeing the Abuja abodes of their parents and re-united them with their parents on Friday May 19th.

The teenagers, Chidubem Amaechi, 13, and Chinedu Onyebuchi, 13, were rescued by the RRS operatives on Monday morning after alighting from an Abuja bus at Ojodu-Berger, Lagos.
